can't wait to go home today and crawl in my
bed and watch the series finale of my favorite TV show. nine seasons,
more than 200 episodes, five amazing friends, and the search for Ted
Mosby's "the one". I'll try not to cry too much later. it will be
bittersweet and legendary.
update:
it wasn't the perfect ending that almost everyone was waiting for, but for Ted Mosby, it was the ending that he wanted since the 1st episode: him having kids and ending up with Robin, his one true love. It was the story of Ted's journey of searching, waiting and finally finding the one.
Aww moments:
1. Barney saying that "if it wasn't going to happen with Robin, it wasn't going to happen with anyone"
2. Finding out that the Mother died
3. Marshall and Lily throwing the last Halloween party and saying goodbye to the apartment. The part where Robin said that "The five of us hanging out at MacLaren's doing stupid things is over." and leaving Lily crying in the middle of the empty apartment
4. The final appearance of the blue french horn (I can still remember Ted saying to Robin "I would have stolen the whole orchestra for you")
after the storm, the sun will shine again. no need to ask, just trust. this too shall pass... tuloy pa din ang awit ng buhay ko

himym s9 ep17
"Actually,
there is a word for that. It’s love. I’m in love with her, okay? If
you’re looking for the word that means caring about someone beyond all
rationality and wanting them to have everything they want no matter how
much it destroys you, it’s love. And when you love someone you just,
you…you don’t stop, ever. Even when people roll their eyes, and call you
crazy. Even then. Especially then. You
just– you don’t give up. Because if I could just give up…if I could
just, you know, take the whole world’s advice and– and move on and find
someone else, that wouldn’t be love. That would be… that would be some
other disposable thing that is not worth fighting for. But I– that is
not what this is." - Ted Mosby, HIMYM s9 ep 17

Goodbye 2013
Dear 2013,
You will be that year that I will never forget. It started high: got promoted, transferred to a new working environment, finished my academic requirements, traveled and tried extreme adventures, learned how to drive, got Red. Then it went low to very very low: our family lost a much-loved relative, encountered work-related issues that went personal, and had my heart broken. I am only regaining acceleration now and starting to pick up the broken pieces.
You were a year of tests as they would say. You tested my faith, patience, heart, and yes, you tested friends. You were tough, still, I thanked you for everything that happened because it proved that I was tougher.
I'm claiming that 2014 is my year for God knows my heart's deepest desire.
